In malaysia and surprisingly Singapore, another small country suffering from lack of land resourc, has bigger apartments. I have a malaysian friend who complained that in her first few months in her hk apartment, she had bruises on her elbows as she keeps bumping walls when she's on the phone, turning and bumping into walls!!! She wailed! It's true that Hkongers prefer to spend time outside their home coz they don't have much space to call their home! Actually the small size apartment is not true in all of Asia.
